Now, as the year draws to a close, it’s time to take a step back and acknowledge what has gone well.
I’ve just completed ‘Appreciation Jars’ for my long standing clients. It’s been a beautiful time of reflection and celebration of everything we’ve accomplished whilst coaching together in 2024.
Creating an appreciation jar for someone is a way to express your gratitude to them.
Fill the jar with notes of admiration, kind words, or memories.
(I included a few chocolate treats in mine!) My intention is that the jar may become a source of comfort or encouragement. I think it’s a fabulous and meaningful gift, truly encapsulating “the thought that counts” philosophy.
Showing gratitude helps people feel seen, appreciated, and loved.
Gratitude is a powerful catalyst for your own personal growth.
When we focus on ‘what’s going well’, it shifts our perspective and reduces stress. It gives us the ‘warm and fuzzies’ when we dwell on life’s smallest joys. By consciously practicing gratitude we build a mindset of abundance, cultivating optimism and sets us on a pathway to a more fulfilling journey of personal growth.

An Oscar winning G-rated documentary of approximately 90 mins. It tells the story of Craig Foster who meets an unlikely teacher in a young octopus off the coast of Cape Town. Visiting her den and tracking her movements for months on end he eventually wins the animal’s trust, and they develop a never before seen bond between human and wild animal.
